From merchants: Shopify store data needed to run the app (store domain, plan, product catalog), your store's active subscription and billing state, and the email address and name of anyone who connects their Shopify account to the Vibecheck dashboard.
From shoppers: photos uploaded as poses, the product images used to generate vibechecks, and the AI-generated vibecheck images themselves.
Pose photos and product images are used only to generate the requested vibecheck image and, where a shopper makes it public, to display that result on the storefront and the shopper's profile. Store data is used to run the app's core features (the Vibecheck button, Vibewall, and merchant dashboard) and to calculate billing.
A dashboard user's email is used to sign them in and to send transactional emails about the store's Vibecheck account — installation, subscription activation, billing issues, usage-cap notices, and cancellation confirmations. We don't use it for marketing.
Generating a vibecheck requires sending a shopper's pose photo and the relevant product image to a third-party AI image-generation provider. This data is sent solely to produce the resulting image and is not used by Vibecheck or, per our agreements with these providers, used to train their models.
To catch generation errors and moderate inappropriate content, a sample of uploaded poses, product images, and generated vibechecks may be reviewed internally by our team.
Shoppers choose the visibility of each vibecheck they create. Private vibechecks are not shown on any storefront Vibewall or public profile.
We use essential cookies to keep merchants and shoppers signed in and to complete the Shopify OAuth connection. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We retain store and vibecheck data for as long as the app is installed on a store, or as needed to comply with legal obligations. Uninstalling the app erases your store's Shopify credentials; some historical records (transactions, past vibechecks, and similar) may be retained afterward for legitimate business or legal purposes rather than deleted immediately.
Merchants and shoppers can request deletion of their data by contacting us. Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customer data request, customer redact, shop redact) are supported.
Vibecheck is not directed at, and should not be used by, individuals under the age of 18. Uploaded content that appears to depict a minor will be rejected or removed.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
